"Above and Beyonce" is a biographical article that comes from a conducted interview by Lisa Robinson of Vanity Fair. The interview gives insight into the life and personality of one of the world’s most famous and biggest superstars. This interview reaches audiences that want a behind the scenes look into the personalities and lives of not only people who hold fame but the commonalities that these people have with the average Joe. This text brings in people who want to feel equal to these artists and superstars that are put on pedestals by the media, but are, in their dispositions, normal people like us all. The text gives many different perspectives on the upcoming and life of Beyonce through her own eyes and through the eyes of her mother and father. The balancing of her own voice with the voices of her parents truly encapsulates and highlights the humble and stable upbringing that she lived. This upcoming lesson taught her to be a true lady and one that people can model their lives after. Not wanting to show out, Beyonce never felt as if she needed to be someone that she was not. In fact, she wanted to be exactly who she was. She refers to her alter ego as “Sasha.” Sasha is her true self that she reveals to the public on stage as she lets out her true and natural emotions, including her impeccable dance routines. The most important message that this article and interview highlight is one that brings the normal person in line with the people who seem invincible. Beyonce is a person just like all of us. With the descriptions of her childhood full of slumber parties and her regular attendance at church, her life is remarkably similar to any other kid out there. This brings each person on a relationship level with not only Beyonce, but the possibility of other superstars as well. Although she is on top of the world, Beyonce is a role model and symbol for the commonalities between each person in the world.
